Peppermint Oil (Piperita) is an essential oil having the botanical name Mentha Piperita. Peppermint Oil is steam distilled from the fresh or partly dried plant of Piperita Peppermint Oil. It has a fresh and sharp menthol aroma that is widely used in the food, flavoring, and cosmetic industries. Like many essential oils, Peppermint Oil is commonly used in aromatherapy for its appealing scent and therapeutic properties.
Peppermint oil has a long tradition of medicinal use, with archaeological evidence placing its use at least as far back as ten thousand years ago. It helps combat itching and minor skin irritations, to treat dandruff and head lice.
