Neem Oil
Neem oil is a vegetable oil pressed from the fruits and seeds of the neem (Azadirachta indica), an evergreen tree that is endemic to the Indian subcontinent and has been introduced to many other areas in the tropics. It is the most important of the commercially available products of neem for organic farming and medicines.
Neem carrier oil has been reputed for its cleansing properties. It is known to be rich in fatty acids and glycerides and provides an excellent natural moisturizing base for skin care formulation. This oil has been used for centuries in traditional Indian Medicine to aid in improving topical skin conditions.

Antibacterial action of A. indica oil was demonstrated in vitro against pathogenic bacteria by inhibiting bacterial cell membrane synthesis. A. indica contained nimbolid (antibacterial), gedunin (antifungal), mahmoodin (antibacterial), margolone (antibacterial) and cyclic trisulphide (antifungal).
